London-based mechanical and electrical specialist Phoenix ME is enjoying a landmark year, posting a record order book exceeding £800 million as it celebrates 94 years in the industry.
The firm's 2026 revenue is projected to hit around £400 million, building on a strong 2025 in which it reported £319 million in turnover and a healthy 5% operating margin.
Much of this momentum is being driven by the booming data-centre sector. Phoenix ME has just been appointed MEP delivery partner alongside main contractor McLaren Construction on a £253.9 million, 140MW hyperscale data-centre campus in Iver, Buckinghamshire with pre-construction works, including site clearance and utility diversions, already underway from 1 July.
Beyond the UK, Phoenix ME is setting its sights further afield, with new operations planned in Finland and Austria this year, adding to its existing Cambridge office alongside its traditional London base.
The company's growth isn't just financial, headcount has climbed to 469, and it continues to champion its "Phoenix Way" safety charter alongside internal wellbeing initiatives, reinforcing a people-first culture as it scales.
With a full order book and international ambitions, Phoenix ME looks set to keep rising through 2026 and beyond.
