Construction Sport has successfully completed a 150-mile charity bike ride from Buckingham Palace to Sizewell C via the Lower Thames Crossing route

The three-day ride brought together a team of construction workers alongside rugby international centurions Rocky Clark, Donna Kennedy and Tamara Taylor for an unforgettable journey built around teamwork, support and connection.

More than just a cycling challenge, the event created an opportunity for people from across the industry to come together, build new friendships and create lasting support networks, something at the heart of Construction Sport’s mission.

A huge thank you goes to event sponsor Construction Plant-hire Association for supporting the challenge and helping make the event possible.

Special recognition goes to Steve Smart of First Response Site Services and Richard Stewart of Rule One Scaffolding, who both completed their very first long-distance bike ride. Their effort, determination and attitude across all three days were outstanding and something they should be incredibly proud of.

From start to finish, the ride showcased the power of sport to bring people together and highlighted the positive impact shared experiences can have on mental health across the construction sector.
