AFC Bournemouth have officially been given the green light to expand the Vitality Stadium in a huge boost for the club and its fans.
The redevelopment plans will increase the stadium’s capacity from around 11,000 to more than 20,000 seats, helping the Cherries continue their rise in the Premier League.
The project will include a brand-new South Stand, upgraded fan areas, improved facilities and better accessibility around the ground. Club officials say the expansion will create a better matchday experience and bring more visitors to the area.
Construction is expected to begin during the 2026 off-season, with work continuing in phases over the following season.
Bournemouth owner Bill Foley called the approval a “big moment” for the club as they look ahead to an exciting future both on and off the pitch.
